Vale of Apples

Named for its plentitude of apple trees, the Vale of Apples was the home of a once-powerful wizard named Flanrelian Brellarasti. Some say he was an Arkastanai, though no one can confirm that he indeed was of that Elven tribe, for no birth records of the wizard exist. The Vale is a home to many enchanted creatures, those beasts and faeries who are magical by nature, such as unicorns, sprites, and the lot. But the true power of the wood lies in its ability to enchant. Some say that you can go into the wood and simply wish for whatever you desire--and you will have it. Although Arkastanai wizards scoff at such tales, Liratelvan has been interested in the Vale for quite some time. Indeed, in recent years, travelers trying to enter the wood have been turned back by Arkastanai sentries. Kaleni claims the Vale of Apples as part of the Vadal Kingdom, and yet the government has no official position on the presence of the Arkastanai miri who guard the Vale. Rumors therefore abound, but there are old hunters among the Tuhlen who claim to have been in the wood before the Arkastanai set a watch over it. They are reticent to speak about what they saw, but some returned great hunters indeed, for they brought with them the horns of unicorns.
