Korek

Korek is the vast and fertile plainslands far to the south of Nirrion. Bound by the sea in the east and the Mountains of Smoke in the west, Korek is the supposed birthplace of Men. Legends maintain that it was there Eilen and Sitach first awoke, and it was from there that Men migrated north. The earliest tales surrounding Korek speak of a large bird of fire and iron which terrorized the tribes of Men. These same stories mention hideous giants who lived in the mountains to the west and touch upon encounters with tall, slender, beautiful beings with bright eyes and pointed ears. Though most Men migrated north to found Nirrion, a few tribes still remain, roaming Korek as they follow and hunt their food.
