Forest of Song

The Forest of Song is the largest of the few remaining testaments of the forests that once stretched from the Blue Elfin Mountains to the sea (Aras Arlluvia). The forest is a hallowed place, wherein stands the High Temple of Chiel, a many-towered structure built of rose-quartz. Popular local legends speak of unicorns that live in the woods, though there has been no incontrovertible evidence to support that claim. Just a few miles north of Blitendale, the Forest of Song envelopes the surrounding countryside with an aura of life and fertility. Blitendale can always count on the farmers in the vicinity of the forest to have a good crop . . . and large families. In the temple lives the High Mother of the Order of Chiel, and though she is rarely seen by the common folk, it is not unknown for her to make a trip to Blitendale. The priestesses of Chiel run in Blitendale the Radiant Aspect Sisterhood, a combination orphanage/hospital/mission.
