Fade Romance Mod

This is the page where you can download the Fade Romance Mod for BGII--SoA.
Praise for Fade!
I love
the way in which you pick her up. The interjection is well done, and I immediately
like her attitude and style. Well done Elysia and Silmarien.
--nethrin
My comment,
get that 20,000... well 15,000 gold, as fast as you can so you can get Fade
in the party. I really enjoy Fade's character. One thing that really impressed
me about the romance is that Fade is very sweet and genuine towards the PC
but also funny at the same time. I also like the way Fade interjects in areas
where no one else does. <CHARNAME> is a talker this time instead of
one-line responses. You may even have to scoll up to read some of his responses,
and I like that. Gives more character to the PC as well as Fade.
--Slumlord
In my
opinion, you've created one of the best NPC mods available for BG2. It's well
written and a lot more complete than most other NPCs. Fade is one talkative
lady, which is very refreshing compared to the many one liner NPCs out there.
I can see you really put a lot of work into these dialogues (or are you just
one of those annoying, naturally-talented people that can do these things
without much effort). I think you managed to create a consistent and credible
persona through the dialogues. This is some real good work.
--octopus
THE
best NPC mod out there and I've only gone through 3 or 4 quests with her.
I love the LTs. I love it all!
--MyFinalHeaven
Fade
is a very fun (and brutally efficient) addition to my party, and a talkative
lady in her own right. In particular . . . I really like the lengthy dialogue
options--really makes it feel like an in-depth conversation rather than a
clipped reply to shut somebody up.

Yay!
I've just finished the Fade mod and I loved it!! Great job, Mistress E!! Fade's
a wonderful character (heh, I loved her Boo-rat banter with Minsc), and I
think she's definitely going to be included in all my SoA parties from this
day forth!! Hear hear!!
--LuckyOne
Last
night I finally finished the SoA portion of Fade. (Yes, I was up until 2 AM
playing it.) What can I say? I think Elysia and Silmarien did excellent work.
Most romances are so serious, but Fade offers a welcome change, being the
flirty chaotic minx that she is.
--Moongaze
Everyone
that was in the process of the Fade mod DID a terrific job!!! So far it is
real nice; just the kind of NPC I wanted.
--Xar'zith
It's
good to know that people like Fade. She is one of my fave NPC's.
--Isaac
[Fade]
may have been through much, but she sticks to a positive mood (comparable
to Imoen, characterwise). She's got a lot of character, she's smart... And
as for the humour: I normally am a bit... uneasy about this sort of thing,
but I actually liked it very much in this mod. It's as you say: she is just
very believable as a character.
--Lord Ernie
Wow
this was a great mod, so great that I had to sign up to tell you guys how
great it was! GJ!
--ThePenguinInTheDesert
First
of all, I think Fade is an excellent NPC with interesting background and personality.
Most importantly, she has loads of terrific dialogue! It's been a long, long
time since a CRPG made me laugh as much as this module did - many of Fade's
lines were just unbelievably hilarious. I think Fade's hilarious humour is
the right way to counterbalance the darker aspects of the module. (Some of
which are *really* dark - if I met someone like Fade in real life, I'd be
scared!) Usually I'm not very fond of angsty stuff (unless it's properly done),
but with Fade you have succeeded in building a nicely balanced story with
just the right amount of painful and joyous dialogue, so all I can do is congratulate
you.
--Pekka
Wonderful
mod for wonderful reasons. I think it's rare that this much thoughtfulness
and sensitivity goes into a mod and emerges as such a tight, neat package.
The Fade character illustrates an incredible depth without having to painfully
struggle to demonstrate it. She's tough, sassy, and caring; and while moving
forward, it's easy to integrate Fade into the entire SoA Saga as a genuine
character, as opposed to a "nice to have gadget." Thanx!
--TopTick
I have
fallen for Fade and I can't get up!! Not that I really want to or anything...Funny,
sweet, sassy and a tail! How can you go wrong with that?!
--Midia Eveill
Fade
is one of my favorite mods of all time.
--Dragon Lord
Thanks
to Mistress Elysia, Silmarien, and everyone else that helped make this mod
as great as it is.
--Ryaner
Brilliant
character, my favorite so far. She's so differant to the Bioware NPCs, who
all seem to have some kind of psychological problem. She doesn't jump from
one feeling to another like Aerie, isn't cold like Viconia, or haughty like
Jaheira. She isn't obsessed with her past; she doesn't obsess over her scars
like a certain Elf. She's much better then the Bioware romances, IMO. You
did an excellent job, Mistress E. You should be proud.
--Azrael
Fade
is undoubtedly one of the best NPCs ever made.
--Veldrin
Fade
is one of the most realsitic NPCs I'ive ever seen. She's funny, smart and
witty; she's suffered, but she learned to deal with it instead of moaning
about how unfair her life is. You just can't help falling in love with her
. . . . Fade is perfection in its rarest form.

Personality
Traits
Since Fade was brought up as a noble of House Dlardrageth, she learned little
of morality until she was much older, and she still finds some of morality's
finer points beyond her. She will use all resources available to her to get
her own way, and if this includes herself, so be it. She can be cruel and
abrasive, but also loyal and generous. She is neither good nor evil, and will,
for example, one day give all her money to feed a starving family, only to
go and steal all she has given away back from a local merchant. She has been
used as a slave, a whore and a gladiator, and all these experiences have shaped
her into the slightly fractured character she is today. She will not ‘moralise’
her situation with the PC; she is very impulsive and rarely thinks of the
consequences of her actions. She is quick to anger, and has two particular
danger signs. The first is the growl. The second is her tail-lashes. If she
does both at the same time…run! She is, however, also very keen to please
people she likes, and so is very vulnerable as well. She does get bored easily,
and will instigate arguments to combat her boredom. She also has to learn
something about the art of subtlety.
