Blitendale

Blitendale is the capital city of the Fihdal kingdom and quite possibly the greatest city of Men, though Nirrion could also claim that honor. It is situated on the banks of the Grey River. Originally settled on the eastern bank, Blitendale now engulfs the prairie land on both sides of the wide river. Kings of old had mighty bridges built over the Grey. There are three, and each is like unto a fortress; they are the White Bridge, the Stony Branch, and Prison Bridge. The White Bridge is called so because it was made of white stone, though now it is rather dull and grey-looking. The Stony Branch is the most fortified, and Prison Bridge is called such because it is used as a prison. The kings of Blitendale planned for these three bridges to be used as fortresses if the need should arise. Feasibly, half the city could be abandoned while the bridges keep out invaders, or the king can retreat there if need be. In Blitendale can be found almost anything one might be searching for.
