Anbar's Flow
Named after the Elven word for the sun, Anbar's Flow is the westernmost sea on Chronikos. When the Dal-Kalen, through their wanderings in the infancy of the Elven race, came to the western reaches of their forest home, they gazed upon the western ocean for the first time. They came upon the waters at high tide, for the moons were rising in the east. As the sun was setting into the waters beyond the horizon, the Elves called the sea they had found "Anbar's Flow," for they fancied that the sea rose as the sun sank into it. This poetic name stuck, and so it is called that to this day. No one has sailed far on Anbar's Flow, and certainly no Dal-Kalen, for they do not build ships, and only a few tribes fish the waters. They do hold the sea in deep reverence, however, for it is the creation of Chiel. No one has sailed to the western edge of Anbar's Flow, so what may lie beyond is the stuff of imagination for poets.
